After building my very first dry stone wall on a windswept hillside high up in the Pennines, I was hooked. Just 8 short weeks later I went off to the Dry Stone Walling Association's national training ground in Crooklands, Cumbria, and under the watchful eye of Master Craftsman Andrew Louden I gained my level 1 certificate in dry stone walling.
Over the next 12 months I was lucky enough to work with some incredibly talented and experienced wallers who were keen to pass on their skills and knowledge of this centuries old craft. I achieved the DSWA level 2 certificate in Dry stone walling in July 2022 and I am a registered professional member of the Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain.
Storm is a blue merle border collie who accompanies me on many jobs, (where appropriate) though his passions lie more in chasing a ball than walling. He loves anyone who's willing to give him some attention, and is terrified of pigs.
